the Russian Federation shelled Kherson: the children's hospital and the prosecutor's office building were damaged

Today, Russian troops once again shelled the civilian infrastructure of Kherson.

In the morning, a children's hospital came under artillery fire. At that time, there were about a hundred people in the building – children, parents, and medical staff. The hospital sustained significant damage.

Children and medical staff were injured. The youngest victim is 8 years old. The boy's mother and brother were also injured.

About an hour later, Russian military forces struck the central part of the city, damaging the building of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office: windows and doors were shattered, and some structures were deformed.

The prosecutor, who was in the premises during the shelling, was injured. He has been hospitalized with various injuries.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the commission of war crimes under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

These strikes have no justification and are yet another war crime by Russia directed against the civilian population of Ukraine.

Everyone involved in these crimes will be identified and held accountable.
