On the afternoon of December 25, 2025, on one of the streets of Dnipro, two servicemen of the Amur-Dniprovskiy Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support were injured while performing their official duties.

According to preliminary information, during the notification activities regarding mobilization and the verification of military registration documents, a 42-year-old local resident inflicted knife wounds on two servicemen.

The injured were hospitalized.

During the cessation of the unlawful actions and the detention of the attacker, one of the servicemen fired several warning shots into the air. The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. A knife, which was used to inflict the injuries, was seized at the scene.

Under the procedural guidance of the Left Bank District Prosecutor's Office of Dnipro, proceedings have been initiated regarding the intentional infliction of minor and serious bodily injuries to a public official performing a civic duty in connection with their official activities (parts 2, 3 of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
