According to the investigation, on the night of September 24, 2025, servicemen of the Russian army carried out an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia.

The strikes hit the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city. Private sector houses, the area of the children's botanical garden, and other infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Information regarding the injured is being clarified.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, an investigation has been initiated in a criminal proceeding regarding the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
