Six dead, more than 16 victims - in Kiev record the effects of the attack on the capital

Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the commission of a war crime that resulted in loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

According to the investigation, on the night of June 23 and in the morning, the enemy attacked the capital with missiles and drones. 

As of 08:30 in the morning, six people are known to have died and 16 were injured, including a 15-year-old girl.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, one of the entrances of a 5-story residential building has been destroyed. A rescue operation is ongoing, and there may still be people under the rubble.

In addition, the shockwave damaged the windows of a neighboring 25-story building, and cars parked nearby were burned. Windows have also been shattered in another 7 buildings in the area.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, office premises, a food establishment, and trade pavilions near one of the metro stations have been damaged. 

In the Solomianskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, business centers and vehicles have been damaged, while in the Podilskyi district, windows in residential high-rise buildings have been shattered as a result of the enemy's attack.

In the Darnytskyi district, a private house has been damaged.

The exact number of injured and the final consequences of the attack on the capital are being established. Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working at the sites of the destruction and documenting yet another war crime.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
