System sales of amphetamine, MDMA and cannabis: prosecutor's office has been punished for drug dealers in Odessa
04.07.2025
With the support of the public prosecution, prosecutors from the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office found three members of an organized group guilty of illegal acquisition, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, and sale of particularly dangerous narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The organizer of the criminal scheme was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property, and his accomplice to 9 years of imprisonment. The third participant, who cooperated with the investigation, entered into a plea agreement, provided incriminating testimony against his accomplices, and is already serving a sentence of 5 years of imprisonment.
Prosecutors proved that in March 2020, a resident of Odesa created a stable organized group for the systematic sale of drugs and psychotropics. He involved two other individuals in the group, clearly dividing roles among them. The organizer was responsible for procurement, packaging, storage, and conspiracy measures, while the other participants were responsible for taking orders, transferring funds, and selling drugs.
They sold "amphetamine," "MDMA," and cannabis in public places, including near residential buildings and supermarkets in Odesa.
The illegal activity was uncovered and stopped in July 2020. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
