Sent to court: an official of the police of the Kharkiv region received 2 thousand US dollars for influencing the TCC

The former head of one of the police units in the Kharkiv region is accused of receiving illegal benefits for influencing a decision made by an official (Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has already been dismissed from the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine.
In January 2025, he offered a man $2,000 to help remove another person from the wanted list, who was being sought for evading mobilization and whose data was in the "Oberih" and ICS "IPNP" databases. For this, the wanted person was to arrive at a specific district military enlistment office and undergo the necessary procedures.
In April, while in his office, the official received the agreed amount of illegal benefits of $2,000.
Subsequently, all terms of the agreements were fulfilled.
Law enforcement officers exposed the police officer at the end of July 2025. The maximum penalty under the specified article provides for imprisonment for up to 5 years.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the second investigative department (located in the city of Kharkiv) of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations, based in Poltava. Operational support is provided by the Kharkiv Department of the DWB of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
