Referred to court: in Dnipro, two former policemen for a reward removed the data of more than 500 evaders from state databases

In Dnipro, two former police officers are accused of illegally deleting information about conscripts from state information systems, who were wanted for evading mobilization. 

According to the investigation, during 2024, the accused, having official access to the information systems, unjustifiably deleted data regarding conscripts who were wanted for evading mobilization.

They received money for making unlawful changes, and data regarding more than 500 individuals was removed from the databases.

In June 2025, they were exposed and notified of suspicion. The accused are in custody.

Prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment against them under Part 1 of Article 114-1, Parts 1 and 3 of Article 362, and Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations in Poltava with operational support from the Dnipropetrovsk Department of the National Police's Internal Security.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
