Prosecutors of the Halych District Prosecutor's Office in Lviv have sent an indictment to court against a 22-year-old woman who sold amphetamines, mephedrone, and cannabis, using her own 5-year-old daughter to mask her illegal activities. The child, not understanding what was happening, helped her mother load drug packages into mailboxes and accompanied her during "drops" in parks and near playgrounds.
In September of this year, a resident of Poltava region, who was temporarily living in one of the hostels in Lviv, organized a scheme for the sale of amphetamines, mephedrone, and cannabis through Telegram.
To do this, she purchased the "goods" in bulk through Telegram, receiving them either by mail or in the form of "master classes." Subsequently, she sold them to drug-dependent individuals.
She received orders in the same messenger. After payment to a cryptocurrency wallet, the woman either left a "drop" for the client or sent it by mail. Thus, sales were made not only in Lviv but also in other regions. The estimated monthly income was 100,000 UAH.
For the sake of conspiracy, the woman constantly changed her places of residence, and to attract less attention, she involved her 5-year-old daughter in the sales, who, due to her age, could not understand what her mother was doing. The girl helped her mom by loading packages into mailboxes. In addition, the accused, pretending to walk with her child, placed prohibited substances in parks, forest belts, and near playgrounds.
During one of these "walks," law enforcement officers detained the woman immediately after she placed a "drop." In the child's backpack, there were 25 packages of cannabis, and during a search, another 74 "drops," scales, and other evidence were found. Two large "master classes" with mephedrone weighing over 6.5 kg were also seized.
The accused is charged with the acquisition, storage for the purpose of sale, and illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and especially dangerous psychotropic substances (part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
