Under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, one of the inspectors of the Lviv Regional Military Administration's Capital Construction Department has been notified of suspicion.

According to the investigation, in 2021, a contract was concluded between the Lviv Regional State Administration and a private enterprise. Under its terms, the contractor was obliged to carry out the reconstruction of a school in one of the villages of the Chervonohrad City Community.

In turn, the suspect, holding the position of technical supervision inspector, was required to carry out technical oversight and control over the quality of the work performed by the contractor. However, he exhibited negligence. In particular, he did not properly check the quality of the completed work. While the work was performed with deficiencies or was not carried out at all. Additionally, the documentation indicated inflated volumes and costs for some construction works.

Despite this, the suspect approved the acts provided by the director of the contracting company, based on which funds were transferred for the reconstruction of the school.

As a result of the unlawful actions of the official, the state budget suffered losses of over 600 thousand UAH.

Investigative actions are ongoing. All involved persons are being identified.

The actions of the suspect have been qualified under part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – official negligence.

As for the director of the contracting company, the case is already under consideration by the court (part 4 of Article 191, part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the police department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv Region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
