On September 23, around 10:00 PM, a traffic accident occurred in the city of Kamianske involving an employee of the district police department.

According to preliminary data, the police officer, driving his own car, was moving along the main road when a scooter driver emerged from a secondary street, leading to a collision.

As a result of the accident, the scooter driver died, and his 14-year-old passenger sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a criminal proceeding has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of the victim).

Currently, all circumstances of the accident are being established, and the progress of the investigation is under the control of the leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Poltava.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
