Yes, the Bilotserkiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central region, together with the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Kyiv, has reported suspicion against a former commander of one of the military units for committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligent attitude of a military official to service, which caused severe consequences, committed under martial law).

The investigation established that from March to October 2023, the serviceman, improperly performing his official duties, did not verify the information about the direct participation of subordinates in combat operations and issued orders for the payment of additional rewards amounting to 30,000 UAH to 56 servicemen of the unit, who were not involved in performing combat (special) tasks and were at their permanent deployment point, performing their functional duties.

As a result of these illegal actions, the state suffered losses totaling 15.5 million UAH.

In addition, the Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central region, together with the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations located in Kyiv, with operational support from the Department of Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine, has reported suspicion against the head of the information protection department of one of the military units and his deputy for committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of official position, which caused severe consequences, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement).

According to the investigation, from March 2023 to December 2024, the servicemen, acting by prior agreement, abusing their official position, entered knowingly false information into the timekeeping records about the presence of a subordinate employee at the workplace, who was actually absent.

As a result of these illegal actions, the employee was unjustifiably credited and paid a salary totaling 529,000 UAH, causing the state losses in that amount.

In another criminal proceeding, it was established that two servicemen unjustifiably included in reports for the payment of additional monetary rewards amounting to 30,000 UAH for 19 servicemen of their unit, who were not involved in performing combat (special) tasks during the specified period.

Based on these documents, they were unjustifiably credited and paid an additional reward totaling 891,000 UAH.

In the mentioned criminal proceeding, the Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central region has reported suspicion against the commander of one of the military units for committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and his deputy for committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (negligent attitude to military service duties and intentional non-fulfillment by a military official of actions that he was supposed to perform according to his official duties).

In the mentioned criminal proceedings, the prosecution has submitted a motion to the court for the application of preventive measures against the suspects.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
