Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, an employee of one of the regional branches of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" has been notified of suspicion for unauthorized dissemination of information regarding the placement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In October 2024, a resident of Sloviansk was sharing military-related information in correspondence with an acquaintance on "Telegram." Knowing that the suspect worked on the railway, the interlocutor asked him to find out about the logistical routes of military equipment. During his shifts, the suspect clarified for his acquaintance the number of vehicles and the directions for transporting tanks and other heavy equipment of the Defense Forces near the railway station.

In February 2026, the suspect was detained by law enforcement. At the prosecutor's request, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for him. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
