Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a special pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment was sent to court against the wife of the liquidated "leader" of the "Donetsk People's Republic".  We are talking about the head of the "DPR", who led the self-proclaimed republic from November 2014 to August 2018.

According to the investigation, in 2018, after the death of a man known among militants by the nickname "Batya", in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, the accused joined the information support of the occupation administration of the russian federation.

It was established that a video of her meeting with representatives of an illegal armed group was published on one of the Internet resources. 

During her speech, she expressed support for the militants, spreading narratives aimed at legitimizing the occupation of the territory of Ukraine.

In particular, the woman stated the need to "continue Bata's work", called for revenge for her husband's death and emphasized the need to provide comprehensive support to members of illegal armed groups.

The accused is charged with incitement to change the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 4 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Given that the woman is in the occupied territory, she will be tried in absentia.

In the course of the investigation, it was established that real estate in the name of the accused was registered in the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk region. For the purpose of its further confiscation, at the request of the prosecutor, the property was seized, namely on a non-working recreation center located on the banks of the Dnipro River on a land plot with an area of more than 7 thousand square meters. square meters.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Note: according to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a guilty verdict.
