Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a Russian agent has been notified of suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

An unemployed resident of Myrnohrad voluntarily acted in the interests of the aggressor state in November 2024. The suspect provided assistance to a former classmate – a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces.

The man sent the coordinates of the location of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the city via Telegram. His actions consciously aided the occupiers in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine, creating a threat not only to the military but also endangering the civilian population. 

The suspect has been placed in custody without the possibility of bail. 

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
