With the support of the public prosecution by the Office of the Prosecutor General, the court found a capital lawyer guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment and his property was confiscated.

A resident of Kyiv, who was engaged in legal activities, voluntarily provided assistance to the Russian special services. For such cooperation, he hoped to receive a leadership position in the state structures of Russia in the future.

The convicted individual photographed strategically important military facilities, including enterprises of the defense industry, institutions responsible for supplying weapons, energy infrastructure facilities, and more. He also monitored the locations and movements of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv. The collected intelligence data was passed on to representatives of the Russian special services.

Law enforcement uncovered him at the end of December 2024. He awaited the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine with operational support from the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU.
