The court chose a measure of restraint to the NABU employee, suspected of transferring to the special services of the Russian Federation of confidential information. He will be in custody

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has granted the request of prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General and has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days for an employee of the NABU, suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 111 and Part 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This concerns an employee of the closed unit "D-2" of the Central Office of NABU, who was spying for the FSB and, through an intermediary – a recruited agent of the Russian special services, Dmytro Ivants, transmitted information regarding Ukrainian law enforcement officers and civilian citizens.

At least 60 episodes of the transfer of information with restricted access have been documented. For each such transfer, he received funds to his bank card.

Yesterday in Kyiv, employees of the OGP and the SBU detained him.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
