Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office proved in court the guilt of a resident of Sviatohirsk in state treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

In the spring of 2025, during correspondence on Telegram with her friend, who had moved to the Russian Federation after the start of the full-scale invasion, the woman received an offer to gather information detrimental to the country's defense capabilities. Knowing that her interlocutor would pass the provided information to representatives of the illegal armed formations of the "DPR," she agreed to the proposal to undermine the country's defense capabilities. The local resident collected intelligence data about the presence of Ukrainian military personnel in the settlement and its outskirts.

Most of the information about the locations of the personnel of the Defense Forces and the deployment of military equipment was obtained from acquaintances. During the correspondence, the woman openly supported a possible occupation of the city and the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

In July 2026, the agent was exposed by law enforcement.

She awaited the court's verdict in custody. An indictment against her "curator" has also been sent to court under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in a special court proceeding (in absentia).

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
