22.07.2025
At the request of the prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for the head of the NABU unit located in Dnipro, who is suspected of aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The preventive measure has been set without the possibility of bail. The term of detention is until September 16, 2025.
It should be noted that, according to the investigation, the suspect, coordinating the activities of NABU in the frontline regions, maintained contacts with representatives of the economic sector of the Russian Federation. He facilitated the illegal export of technical hemp to the Republic of Dagestan, acting as an intermediary between Russian buyers and his father, an entrepreneur who organized the illegal cultivation of this product.
Thus, the suspect ensured the functioning of a scheme for illegal trade with the aggressor state, effectively assisting in conducting economic activities in the interests of the Russian Federation.
The investigation has also documented the suspect's connections with former people's deputy Fedor Khristenko, who is currently hiding abroad, collaborating with hostile intelligence services, and has influence over certain officials of NABU.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
