08.09.2025
Prosecutors of the Kyiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Central Region have submitted an indictment to the court against two servicemen for organizing and facilitating the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine through advice, instructions, and removing obstacles, committed in conspiracy by a group of individuals, for several persons, for selfish motives (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It has been established that the servicemen, acting in conspiracy for selfish motives, organized a criminal scheme for the illegal transportation of two individuals across the state border of Ukraine for a monetary reward of 8 thousand US dollars each, by having them cross the state border outside official checkpoints.
One of the servicemen conducted a briefing on the items that needed to be taken, explained the procedure for crossing the border, and guaranteed "unimpeded passage" through checkpoints, while the other serviceman was to directly transport the two citizens from Kyiv to a designated location for their further illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine.
In June 2025, during the transportation of individuals by car to the crossing point, the perpetrators were detected and detained.
The accused face a punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, along with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Territorial Office of the State Bureau of Investigations located in Kyiv, with operational support from the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine.
