Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General have submitted an indictment to the court regarding a criminal organization consisting of 9 members who were involved in the production and distribution of drugs across all regions of the country.

The "goods" were delivered to customers using the services of logistics companies, as well as through the placement of "drops." To sell the prohibited substances, the accomplices created and managed a number of Telegram channels, which they used to coordinate orders and communicate with "clients."

In October 2024, law enforcement conducted a special operation during which they carried out 46 searches in four regions and the capital. They dismantled 9 drug laboratories and 6 warehouses where drugs and psychotropic substances were stored. The capacity of these drug laboratories allowed for the production of about 50 kilograms of narcotic products per month, which, at black market prices, amounts to over 7 million hryvnias.

In total, during the pre-trial investigation, drugs worth over 55 million hryvnias at black market prices were discovered and seized.

The accused are charged with participation in a criminal organization; illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, mailing of narcotic substances or precursors, or sale of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, or their analogs; as well as organizing or maintaining places for illegal use, production, or manufacture of narcotic substances (Part 2 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 307, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 311, Part 4 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department with operational support from the Department for Combating Drug Crimes of the National Police, in cooperation with employees of the departments for combating drug crimes of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
