22.09.2025
The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol continues to work on bringing to justice those individuals who voluntarily cooperate with the aggressor state, its occupation administration, and also contribute to strengthening and enhancing the enemy's power on the peninsula.
Since the beginning of 2025, 194 individuals have been reported as suspects. Among them are 24 former law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges who betrayed their oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people and switched to serve the enemy.
For assisting the Russian armed forces in the occupation of the peninsula, 9 individuals from the ranks of the "Crimean self-defense" fighters have been reported as suspects. They participated in the seizure of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, blocked military units, and stormed Ukrainian Navy ships alongside the occupiers.
Collaboration Activities.
72 heads of "ministries" and "administrations" are suspected of facilitating the implementation of the aggressor state's policy and ensuring the functioning of the occupation authorities in Crimea.
In particular, another suspicion of collaboration activities and war propaganda has been reported against the head of the occupation State Council of the Republic of Crimea, who, back in 2014, helped legitimize the "annexation" of Crimea to the Russian Federation. He is currently calling for the continuation of the aggressive war against Ukraine with the aim of its "demilitarization" and "denazification."
Assistance to the Aggressor State.
Another 13 suspicions have been issued against "volunteers" who collect and transfer material resources for the enemy's army.
War Crimes.
The head of the "military-patriotic club 'Varyag'" is suspected of violating the laws and customs of war. In particular, the man is preparing children and youth in Crimea for future conscription into the Russian army.
Theft of Cultural Heritage.
Four employees of cultural institutions of the Russian Federation are suspected of illegal excavations at sites of Ukraine's cultural heritage in Crimea. The actions of these individuals have effectively led to the destruction of the authenticity of the architectural-archaeological complexes "Ancient City of Nymphaeum" and "Ancient City of Panticapaeum."
Pre-trial investigations are being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Investigative Department of the National Police in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, and the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigations located in the city of Melitopol.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
