In Chernivtsi, the activities of an online drug store specializing in the sale of particularly dangerous psychotropic substances have been halted. The scheme was organized by a 30-year-old local resident who turned Telegram into a platform for trading deadly drugs.

According to the investigation, the suspect received orders through anonymous messengers, accepted payments to bank cards, and placed the "goods" in so-called "stash" locations in various districts of the city. This system allowed him to remain in the shadows and daily increase the volume of his illegal business.

During a search, law enforcement officers seized from the suspect: 369 packages of alpha-PVP, 61 packages of cannabis, electronic scales, and two mobile phones used to coordinate sales.

According to black market prices, the estimated value of the seized items amounts to about 1 million UAH.

Prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office informed the man of suspicion for illegal storage with the intent to sell and the sale of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities (part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Chernivtsi region with operational support from the Department for Combating Drug Crime in the Chernivtsi region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
