In the Dnieper prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office exposed another network of fraudulent call centers

Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General have shut down the operations of five fraudulent call centers in the city of Dnipro. Each of them had about 250 workstations equipped with modern computer technology, headsets, and specialized software for making calls and concealing real numbers.

The criminals used SIM cards from mobile operators in European Union countries. Victims were deceived under the guise of bank and service company employees, after which they gained access to their funds.

During the searches, more than a thousand units of computer equipment, mobile phones, a large number of SIM cards from foreign operators, as well as other data carriers and documents were seized.

Pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted under part 5 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the circle of all involved persons and the number of victims is being established.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
