A man was arrested in Kramatorsk who burned a serviceman's car

Prosecutors of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor's Office reported suspicion against a local resident for the intentional destruction of someone else's property, committed by arson (part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 10 years in prison.

In November 2025, a conflict arose between the suspect and servicemen of one of the Defense Forces units. Seeing a military vehicle on the street, he doused it with a flammable liquid and set it on fire.

The vehicle was completely burned out. Law enforcement officers detained the man shortly after the crime was committed.

He has been placed in custody with the option of posting bail. The pre-trial investigation and operational support are being conducted by the Kramatorsk District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
