The head of the Kryvyi Rih Southern District Prosecutor's Office insisted on life imprisonment for the convicted individual who committed a series of crimes against a child during the court debates. 

However, on December 2, 2025, the Pokrovsk District Court of Kryvyi Rih sentenced him to 15 years in prison.

It was proven that in 2023, the man lured a 13-year-old child into his apartment while she was playing in the yard of a multi-story building. He used force and committed sexual violence against the child for nearly two hours.

His actions were classified under the facts of illegal deprivation of liberty, sexual acts, and distribution of pornographic images (Part 2 of Article 146, Part 4 of Article 152, Part 6 of Article 153, Part 2 of Article 156, Part 2 of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

During the announcement of the verdict, the man did not admit his guilt.

Juvenile prosecutors are preparing an appeal.

“The only just punishment for the pain inflicted on the child is life imprisonment. We will insist on the maximum penalty and appeal this verdict to ensure justice and protect the rights of the child,” noted the head of the district prosecutor's office.

Until the verdict takes legal effect, the man will remain in custody.
