In Kharkiv, a large -scale drug lab was eliminated - psychotropes and precursors were seized by an estimated cost of almost UAH 25 million

Under the procedural guidance of the Novobavar District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv, a suspect has been reported for organizing a drug business along with three of his accomplices.

The suspects manufactured, stored, and sold precursors and psychotropic substances. They set up a drug laboratory in a private house.

Law enforcement conducted searches during which over 20.5 kg of the psychotropic substance PVP, an F-1 grenade, cannabis packaged for sale, laboratory equipment for the industrial-scale production of psychotropics, and precursors totaling over 400 liters were seized.

According to preliminary estimates and data, the estimated value of the seized psychotropic substances and precursors amounts to nearly 25 million hryvnias.

Law enforcement detained the dealers.

The organizer and one of his accomplices are charged with illegal acquisition, storage, transfer, transportation for the purpose of sale, as well as the sale of precursors and especially dangerous psychotropic substances (Part 2 of Article 307, Part 3 of Article 307, Part 2 of Article 311 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The second accomplice is charged under Parts 2 and 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the third under Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of detention without the right to bail is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigative unit of the No. 2 Police Department of the Kharkiv District Police Department No. 3 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
