Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Zaporizhzhia has been exposed for passing information to the enemy about objects of strategic importance for the defense capability and energy system of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the man, motivated by ideological reasons, established contact with representatives of the aggressor state's special services via the messenger "Telegram" and offered his assistance in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

In carrying out the tasks of his curator, he sent coordinates in "Google maps" with explanations regarding the locations of TCCs and SPs, gathering points for reservists, and hubs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia. He also made separate posts about the activity at these sites at different times of the day and changes in their deployment. The information obtained was planned to be used by the occupiers to carry out missile and bombing strikes.

In addition, the suspect recorded data about energy facilities in Zaporizhzhia, and after being employed by an energy company in Dnipro, he continued to gather similar information there.

The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He is currently in custody by court decision. He has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason).

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
