Ukrainian equipment - for the Military Industry of the Russian Federation: the case of a criminal organization was brought to court

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, an indictment has been sent to court regarding four participants of a criminal organization who, after the onset of the full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, ensured the supply of industrial equipment to enterprises of the aggressor state.

According to the investigation, the accused acted in the interests of the actual owners and officials of the enterprises that facilitated the sale of compressor equipment to end consumers on the territory of the Russian Federation.

After the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the participants of the criminal organization, acting intentionally and in collusion, organized a scheme for the covert export of equipment to the aggressor state.

For this purpose, foreign economic contracts were concluded and executed with a controlled business entity abroad. Formally, the products were exported from Ukraine abroad, but in fact, according to customs declarations, they were transported to enterprises in the city of Oryol, Russia.

The investigation established that the supplied equipment was used to meet the needs of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, particularly as part of special and military railway equipment.

As a result of this illegal activity, from May to November 2022, products worth over 160 million hryvnias were sold to enterprises in the Russian Federation.

The actions of the accused have been qualified under Part 2 of Article 255, Part 2 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 28, and Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the State Bureau of Investigations. The criminal proceedings against all four individuals were conducted in the form of a special pre-trial investigation.

On January 20, 2026, the indictment in this criminal proceeding was sent to court.

It should be noted that the indictment against seven more participants of this criminal organization, including its organizer, is already under consideration by the Kyiv District Court of Poltava. Currently, preparatory court proceedings are ongoing in the case.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
