The fight against the embezzlement of defense funds and military property is not only a matter of law but also a protection of the lives of servicemen and a strengthening of the state's defense capability.

Specialized prosecutors in the defense sector continue to combat criminal offenses related to the misappropriation and embezzlement of budget funds, fraud with allocated defense funds, and official negligence. Over the past week, prosecutors have reported suspicions against several individuals, whose illegal actions have caused the state losses amounting to 71 million UAH.

Mykolaiv region – the head of the fuel service is suspected of embezzlement and negligence, resulting in the army losing over 25 million UAH.

Dnipropetrovsk region – a military official allowed the purchase of military property at inflated prices, causing the state losses of about 4 million UAH.

Lviv region – a sergeant allowed the loss of military property worth over 1 million UAH.

Odesa region: – a technical inspection officer caused losses exceeding 418 thousand UAH due to inadequate verification of completed construction works.

– a former deputy head of a military educational institution, abusing his power, organized a scheme of illegal payments to a subordinate, causing the state losses of over 1.1 million UAH.

Poltava region – the head of the technical operation unit of aviation equipment, who, abusing his position, organized illegal payments of monetary support to subordinates exceeding 1 million UAH.

Volyn region – two servicemen illegally received monetary payments totaling over 1.3 million UAH due to falsified medical treatment.

Rivne region – a senior lieutenant embezzled 409 thousand UAH by arranging a reward for "service on the front line."

Donetsk region – a serviceman obtained discharge from service under forged documents and illegally received 43.5 thousand UAH.

Sumy region – the commander of a mortar battery, having committed desertion, seized military vehicles and property worth 31 million UAH.

Eastern region – a group of entrepreneurs and directors of municipal and private enterprises, through fictitious contracts for the "supply" of FPV drones and electronic warfare means, embezzled 5.5 million UAH.

The mentioned individuals have been notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 425, Part 4 of Article 410, Part 2 of Article 367, Part 2 of Article 364, Part 4 of Article 409, Part 4 of Article 190, Part 3 of Article 190, Part 1 of Article 190, Part 5 of Article 191, Part 4 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 408, and Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
