A native of Chernihiv region, the main navigation developer for Russian winged and ballistic missiles reported suspicion and was wanted

A native of Chernihiv, who holds the position of deputy general director of one of the leading companies in the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, has been notified of suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect previously worked at one of the defense factories in Cherkasy region. In 2009, he resigned and moved to Moscow.

With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man not only remained in his position but also actively participated in carrying out tasks aimed at supporting the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

Under his direct supervision, the enterprise is developing, producing, and modernizing GPS/GLONASS navigation blocks "CN-99," which are part of the guidance system for cruise missiles and guided artillery shells of Russian production. This equipment is used by the armed forces of the aggressor state for targeted and systematic missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

It is known that from 2022 to 2025, the suspect managed the production of about 3,200 navigation units, which became a significant contribution to strengthening the military potential of the Russian Federation.

Thus, the citizen of Ukraine consciously violated his constitutional duty to defend the state and, holding a high position in a Russian enterprise, contributes to the functioning of the enemy's "war machine."

Currently, the suspect has been declared wanted. The issue of obtaining permission for his arrest is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support are carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region under the procedural guidance of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor's office.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
