Odessa will judge a woman who ordered the murder of a brother to inherit

Prosecutors of the Primorsky District Prosecutor's Office in Odesa have sent an indictment to the court regarding a resident of the region who organized the contract killing of her brother.

She is charged with preparing for intentional murder for mercenary motives, committed by order (Part 1 of Article 14, Paragraph 6, Paragraph 11 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

During the investigation, it was established that the 50-year-old resident of Avangard had a long-standing conflict with her biological brother over the division of inheritance left after their mother's death.  

In order to secure ownership of the house solely for herself, the woman decided to eliminate the "competitor." To this end, she sought out executors, promising them a reward of 20,000 UAH. The suspect provided gathered information about her brother and indicated that the method of committing the murder did not interest her – only the result was important. 

The executors contacted law enforcement agencies. Subsequently, events unfolded under their control.

To protect the life and health of the victim, the murder was staged, and the woman received photos as evidence of the completed order. The suspect was detained while handing over the agreed reward.

At the request of the prosecutor's office, the instigator of the murder is in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the territorial police department.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
