Under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the fact of a terrorist act that caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to operational information, today at 18:20 in Mykolaiv, on the territory of a non-operational gas station located near the administrative building of the patrol police department in Mykolaiv region, an explosion of a homemade explosive device occurred.

At that time, there were patrol police officers on the territory of the gas station who had arrived for a shift.

As a result of the explosion, seven police officers were injured, one of them in serious condition.

An investigative operational group is working at the scene.

The circumstances of the incident are being established.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.
