He hit a minor knife. Prosecutors reported suspicion of Kramatorsk resident

On July 5, 2025, a resident of Kramatorsk, while in his apartment in a high-rise building, heard a strange noise in the stairwell and went up the stairs to the balcony on the 14th floor. There he saw two teenagers aged 15 and 17.

A verbal argument arose between the man and the minors, during which the suspect pulled a folding knife from his pocket and stabbed the younger of the boys in the stomach. After committing the act, he returned to his home.

The victim sustained a penetrating knife wound. He was taken to a medical facility, where emergency assistance was provided.

Prosecutors of the Kramatorsk District Prosecutor's Office have notified a 63-year-old citizen of suspicion of causing serious bodily harm (part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.

The group of prosecutors in the criminal proceedings is led by the deputy head of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. The pre-trial investigation and operational support are conducted by the Kramatorsk Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
