Russian troops hit the energy infrastructure of the Poltava region with missiles and drones - an investigation into 5 criminal proceedings has been launched

On the night of October 15 to 16, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a combined missile and drone strike on the energy infrastructure of Poltava region. Among the means of destruction were UAVs "Geran-2" and cruise missiles, the type of which is being established.  

As a result of the impacts and falling debris, facilities in the Poltava and Myrhorod districts were damaged in the oil and gas industry. There were no casualties. Information about the damaged property is being clarified.  

Currently, under the procedural guidance of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Security Service of Ukraine in the Poltava region has initiated a pre-trial investigation in 5 criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (committing a war crime). 

Prosecutors and investigators are documenting the consequences of the latest war crimes committed by the aggressor state.
