The Russian agents who cited fire strikes at air defense and critical infrastructure of Kharkiv and Kiev were exposed
29.07.2025
Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office informed three citizens of suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
In October 2024, a man who collaborated with a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation contacted a resident of the village of Donetsk in the Izium district through a pro-Kremlin channel on Telegram. During the conversation, the recruiter persuaded her to engage in confidential cooperation.
Two residents of Kyiv also made contact with an employee of the enemy's special service. They agreed to provide him with assistance in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.
The so-called agents collected and transmitted data about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units in Kharkiv region and in the capital. They detailed the routes of military equipment movement, disclosed the coordinates of fortifications and air defense systems. They also informed the enemy about the locations of military exercises and reported on the consequences of strikes. Special attention in the correspondence was paid to objects of civil and critical infrastructure - residential buildings, administrative and communal institutions. This data allowed the enemy to adjust strikes and assess the effectiveness of previous attacks.
Their illegal activities have been exposed and terminated. At the request of the prosecution, they have been placed in custody as a preventive measure.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
