Under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region has been notified of suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspect established contact with a representative of the Russian special services via Telegram. To carry out his tasks, the woman collected and transmitted information about the locations and movements of military personnel, as well as military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territory of the Sumy region.

In addition, the woman expressed a desire in the future, after the occupation of the city of Okhtyrka by enemy troops, to hold a position in the illegally created authorities.

The suspect was detained while taking photos and videos of a bridge in the Sumy region, which is an important logistical route for the movement of equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sever direction. She was supposed to pass this intelligence to a representative of the Russian special services.

The Rivne City Court has chosen a preventive measure for the offender in the form of detention without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region with operational support from the Main Counterintelligence Department of the regional security agency.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established.
