Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the detectives of the Economic Security Bureau exposed a corruption scheme during the procurement of technical equipment for the needs of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the investigation, in 2023, the former deputy head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized the procurement of protected tablets based on the Android OS from a predetermined controlled company at an inflated price. 

As a result, the state suffered losses of more than UAH 1 million.

The actions of the suspect are qualified under part 3 of Art. 27, part 2 of Art. 28, part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for him is being resolved.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
