In Kharkiv exposed a local resident who spread the messengers

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a 54-year-old man has been notified of suspicion for the production and distribution of materials that contain justification and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, committed repeatedly (parts 2, 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, an employee of a printing company in Kharkiv produced and distributed materials in Telegram from 2022 to 2024 that justify and deny the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine. The agitator used his own account and actively monitored channels and communities created in the interests of the aggressor state to influence public opinion and impose a false perception of the war.

He published messages accusing the Armed Forces of Ukraine of shelling Kharkiv. The man also supported the occupation of Ukrainian territories and referred to Kharkiv as a "Russian city."

Linguistic expertise confirmed that the materials contain justification and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

Moreover, the majority of the posts were published by the suspect in a Telegram community of a well-known propagandist under the pseudonym "Lohmatyi," who is hiding in temporarily occupied Donetsk and operates under the control of Russian special services. This channel collects information about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and infrastructure objects for further use by the enemy.

The offender faces up to eight years of imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
