Under the procedural supervision of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office, an organized group was exposed, which established a supply scheme for Private joint-stock company “Kyivvodokanal” of low-quality reagents that did not meet the terms of the contract and were unsuitable for effective water purification.

It was established that the organizer involved the director of a limited liability company, which supplied the water utility with chemical reagents, in the organized group. With the assistance of subordinate employees of the LLC, they replaced the expensive and high-quality iron chloride coagulant with a cheap reagent of dubious quality. To hide the replacement, false information was entered into the reporting documentation.

In this way, individuals misappropriated more than UAH three million of the enterprise.

The organizer and director of the LLC were notified of suspicion for misappropriation of someone else's property and official forgery (part 3 of Art 27, part 5 of Art 191, part 3 of Art 27, part 3 of Art 28, part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Employees of LLC are suspected of aiding and abetting misappropriation of someone else's property and forgery (part 5, Art 27, part 5, Art 191, part 5, Art 27, part 3, Art 28, part 1, Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Suspects were served with motions for the selection of preventive measures in the form of detention.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the State Police of the National Police of Ukraine with the operational support of the Main Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution, a person shall be presumed innocent of a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until proven guilty in a lawful manner and established by a court conviction.
