Prosecutors of the Mykolaiv Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the sphere of defense of the Southern region uncovered and reported suspicion against a serviceman for unauthorized dissemination of information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations, with the possibility of their identification on the ground (part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, while on the territory of Kherson region, he twice sent via “Telegram” the locations of his unit, documenting the positions of the unit, comrades, and military equipment with precise coordinates in Google Maps.

Currently, a motion is being prepared for the court to choose a preventive measure for him.

Prosecutors, together with investigators, are establishing all the circumstances of the crime and other possible accomplices.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
