Prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office served a notice of suspicion to a former people's deputy of Ukraine from the banned OPFL party.
He is charged with encroachments on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, as well as justification, recognition of the legitimacy and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons.
According to the investigation, during 2023-2026, the suspect conducted a systematic anti-Ukrainian information campaign. He participated in propaganda TV projects, spread Kremlin narratives, denied Russian aggression, questioned the sovereignty of Ukraine, and justified the actions of the aggressor state.
In particular, in November 2025, the suspect gave an interview to journalist Thomas Röpper for the YouTube channel "NuoFlix". During the conversation, he publicly spoke out in favor of the so-called "inclusion" of Ukraine in the Russian Federation, actually calling for the liquidation of Ukraine as an independent state.
According to the investigation, the suspect organized the distribution of this interview on the website of the propaganda media project "Druga Ukraina" controlled by him.
The platform was created on the basis of the public organization of the same name, which the suspect registered in September 2023 on the territory of the aggressor state. The resource is used to spread anti-Ukrainian materials and Russian propaganda.
Also in 2023, Medvedchuk participated in the programs of the Belarusian TV channels STV and CTV, where he publicly justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014.
The actions of the suspect were qualified under Part 2 of Art. 110, Part 2 of Art. 28, Part 3 of Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Recall that in August 2025, the ex-MP and 12 other people were notified of suspicion of information and subversive activities.
The suspects created the "Druga Ukraina" project and promoted the Kremlin's narratives through it. In particular, they distributed publications justifying russia's armed aggression, called for changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, incited national and religious hatred, and distributed other materials in support of the aggressor state.
