Demanded 11 thousand euros for crossing the military abroad - 2 residents of Bukovina are suspected

Under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil District Prosecutor's Office, two residents of the Chernivtsi region have been exposed for organizing the illegal transportation of a resident of Ternopil across the state border of Ukraine. They have been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 15 and Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the suspects organized the transportation of a resident of Ternopil to Chernivtsi, where they accommodated him in various hotels, hiding him from the employees of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, and planned to subsequently transport him across the border on foot, outside of the checkpoints. For their services, they demanded 11,000 euros from the conscript.

The men received part of the payment — 8,000 euros, while the rest was to be received after delivering the person to the state border of Ukraine, as per their agreement.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspects at their place of residence on October 7.

The issue of choosing preventive measures in the form of detention is being resolved.

The investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Ternopil District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police, with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the region.
