Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, a former head of the mobilization work sector of one of the district military administrations in Odesa region has been notified of suspicion. He is accused of receiving unlawful benefits for influencing a public official with extortion (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in July 2025, the suspect learned that his acquaintance had not updated his registration data in the TCC and SP and was wanted. Acting out of selfish motives, he offered to help remove his acquaintance from the wanted list, using connections with officials of the TCC and SP. The cost of the "assistance" was 4,000 USD. 

At the beginning of August 2025, he received the first part of the unlawful benefit – 3,000 USD, after which he increased the total amount to 6,500 USD.

At the end of October, after receiving the second part of the unlawful benefit in the amount of 2,000 USD, the suspect was detained by law enforcement. Earlier, in 2023, for committing a similar crime in one of the RMA, he was removed from office. The case is currently being considered in court.

The suspect has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail of 1.5 million UAH. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with confiscation of property.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by employees of the DBR in Mykolaiv. 

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
