As a result of hostile shelling of Kherson region, seven civilians were injured, among them a young child

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the facts of the Russian Federation committing war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on September 17, 2025, the military of the Russian Federation used aviation, artillery, including rocket artillery, as well as various types of drones to attack in the Kherson region.  

As of 17:00, it is known that as a result of Russian shelling, seven people were injured, including a child. 

In the morning, the occupiers shelled Kherson with artillery, and during the day, they dropped explosives from a drone onto one of the streets. Two local residents were injured. 

Around 6:00, the enemy struck the village of Inhulets with aviation. Five people were injured there, including a three-year-old girl. 

Private and multi-apartment houses, garages, and vehicles were also damaged. 

Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all necessary measures to document the war crimes committed by the Russian military.
