Military crimes, treason and collaboration. Reported suspicions of more than 50 persons who contributed to the occupation of the Crimean Peninsula

The Prosecutor's Office of the autonomy, in cooperation with investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and the State Bureau of Investigations in Melitopol, continues its work to hold accountable those who serve the occupying regime of the Russian Federation in Crimea.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, 52 individuals have been notified of suspicion in absentia. They voluntarily sided with the enemy, took positions in the occupying administrations, "law enforcement agencies," participated in "elections," provided assistance to the armed forces of the aggressor state, spread Russian propaganda, and more.

Among the suspects:

- "servants of Themis" of the occupying courts, who made decisions on the deportation of Crimeans for refusing to obtain Russian passports;

- former law enforcement officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service, the State Border Guard Service, the State Forest Protection, prosecutors, and judges who betrayed the state and sided with the enemy;

- participants in the "elections" to the occupying "city councils" and the "State Council of the Republic of Crimea";

- top officials of the occupying administrations, including the "Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea," the "Minister of Housing and Communal Services," as well as officials of local authorities;

- individuals who held positions in the occupying judicial bodies;

- "volunteers" who collect and transfer material resources for the enemy's army;

- a "member of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea," who justifies the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

They are charged with violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), collaborationist activities (Parts 5, 6, 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), aiding the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Despite the lack of access to the territory, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol works daily to document the crimes committed in Crimea. After all, the main task of the prosecutor's office is to ensure the inevitability of punishment and hold the guilty accountable.
