On the night of August 20 to 21, the armed forces of the Russian Federation massively attacked Ukraine with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and strike drones.

Around 04:40 in the morning, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile strike on the city of Mukachevo. Two Kalibr-type missiles caused an explosion at a local factory with foreign investments. There are reports of 15 injured individuals. They are receiving medical assistance. 

The Russian armed forces also massively attacked Lviv with cruise missiles equipped with cluster munitions and drones. An administrative building was damaged. The shockwave also damaged nearby houses, shattering windows and doors. Private and utility premises were also damaged by debris. Preliminary reports indicate one fatality. Two men were injured and were examined by medics on the spot, while another injured person was taken to the hospital. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, localize fires, and inspect damaged facilities are ongoing. Debris is being cleared, and the number of damaged vehicles is being assessed. Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement officers are working at the sites.

The Dnipropetrovsk region was under attack by UAVs. In the Pavlohrad district, a man was injured, and a business was damaged. In Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrivka, and Pokrovsk communities, private houses, utility structures, a car, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged. In the Synelnykove district, two businesses, cars, and a gas pipeline were damaged as a result of UAV strikes. In the Tsarychanka community of the Dnipro district, a private residence and a power line were damaged due to the attack.

Under the procedural guidance of the Zakarpattia, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's offices, pre-trial investigations have been initiated regarding the commission of war crimes (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
