Bribes for fictitious driver's documents - Dnipro prosecutors reported suspicion to two civil servants

The chief specialist of the State Consumer Service department and a lecturer at one of the state universities have been notified of suspicion for receiving unlawful benefits (part 1, 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the lecturer, together with an inspector, organized a scheme for receiving bribes for successfully passing exams to obtain tractor driver-machine operator certificates. The lecturer conducted specialized group training, with each group consisting of 20 individuals. Upon completion of the course, he demanded bribes for a guaranteed passing of the exam, which effectively undermined the legality in the field of training specialists for agricultural enterprises.

From each such group, the individuals received over 100,000 UAH.

Law enforcement documented the activities of this scheme since the end of 2024. As a result, over six months, the perpetrators earned nearly 1 million UAH.

The suspects were caught during the distribution of funds among accomplices. They were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During searches, rough notes, documentation, mobile phones, and money were seized.

Preventive measures have currently been chosen for them.

The investigation is ongoing. All circumstances and individuals involved in the illegal activities are being established.

The procedural leadership in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, with the pre-trial investigation conducted by the investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation located in Poltava, under the operational support of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
