01.08.2025
Under the procedural guidance of the Kryvyi Rih Central District Prosecutor's Office, a local head of a charitable foundation has been notified of suspicion for organizing the illegal transportation of individuals across the state border of Ukraine and for abuse of influence (Part 3 of Article 332, Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect promised a conscripted man "assistance" in obtaining a fictitious disability for the purpose of further unhindered travel abroad during the period of martial law for 17,000 US dollars. The scheme involved hospitalization in one of the hospitals in the city of Dnipro with a fictitious diagnosis and performing surgery on the spine — a complex surgical intervention involving the installation of an implant. In many cases, such surgery serves as grounds for establishing disability.
After this medical procedure, it was planned to obtain the relevant certificate for passing the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) and subsequently removing the individual from military registration as unfit for service.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine while receiving part of the funds amounting to 10,000 US dollars.
Currently, a preventive measure of detention has been chosen for him.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with operational support from the Cybercrime Prevention Department of the region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
