Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office have sent indictments to the court regarding the head of a structural unit of the state enterprise "Ukrgeofizika".

The investigation established that during 2021 – 2022, the official illegally leased state storage facilities. This concerns warehouses in the Nadvirna district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region and in the Zaliznychnyi district of Lviv.

Thus, he entered into contracts for the storage of property without conducting mandatory auctions and without approval from the State Property Fund.

As a result of these actions, the state budget suffered losses of nearly 6.2 million UAH.

On October 24, 2025, the official was notified of suspicion of abuse of power (part 1, 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and now the prosecutors have sent the case to court for substantive consideration.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Lviv region and the Investigative Department of the National Police in the Lviv region, based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
