With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of Donetsk guilty of treason and collaborationist activities (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, with deprivation of the right to hold positions in state authorities and local self-government, state administration and control, enterprises and organizations of state and communal ownership for 15 years, and with confiscation of property.

In addition, the convicted person was stripped of the special title "sergeant of the civil protection service".

Prosecutors proved in court that after the occupation of the city of Volnovakha by Russian troops, the commander of a platoon from one of the units of the 11th State Fire and Rescue Squad of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region switched to the enemy's side. He betrayed his oath and agreed to take the position of platoon commander in the "GBU 'Fire and Rescue Squad of Volnovakha, Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR'."

Furthermore, the convicted individual participated in propaganda events and celebrations on the occasion of Russian holidays.
